ANMAROPA CREW RECOVER SOME GEAR
Fishing Today - Volume 22 No 6 Dec/Jan 2010

"When the scallop fishing boat Anmaropa capsized on the St Helens barway in September the crew of the boat lost all their personal possessions on the boat. Whilst owner Roger King had the vessel insured none of the crew’s gear was.  When this became known two small companies very generously donated some essential kit to the crew. Tasmanian based Stormy Seas gave them each an inflatable jacket, while Aquaprogear, a small family company based in Melbourne but now with outlets in Tasmania, gave them each a set of Guy Cotton wet weather gear with some other products and a large gear bag.
The crew were presented with their kit at Hobart’s Victoria Dock. From left to right are Laurent Filippini (Aquaprogear), Roger King, Jeremy Huddlestone, Ethan O’Neal, Joe Jacobson (front) and Andre Buannic (Aquaprogear). They were extremely grateful and wish to thank both Stormy Seas and Aquaprogear."

AUSMARINE February 2010

Aquaprogear brings Guy Cotten work Wear to Australia

Guy Cotten's presence in the Australian fishing industry has been steadily growing. Its products are now available at several outlets across many States.
The 'bib and braces' range is definitely one of the broadest on the market - 8 different sets of clothing for the diversity of hard tasks that form part of professional fishing.
The latest model, the "Austral", is the one-size-fits-all, double Nylpeche layers solution for businesses that do not want to stockpile many sizes of each clothing item anymore.
The 'Baraka' and the 'Neptune' are "Working Floating Garments" that have attracted a huge interest - they offer unmatched combinations of safety and comfort.
"Astrons" boots bring comfort and protection against low temperatures at sea or in cooled storage rooms.
But the company's ultimate success is its mastery of rip-proof fabrics such as the Nylpeche, which have been a hit with rock lobster fishermen.
Safety, comfort and toughness are more than ever the assets of the French brand imported into Australia and New Zealand by Aquaprogear Pty Ltd.
Call Laurent on 03 9429 3521 or 0435 132 155 if you need more information regarding the Guy Cotten range .
